The innkeeper, Elsbeth Gugi, grew up in Switzerland on the shore of Lake Constance, near the borders of Austria and Germany. She speaks German, Swiss German, and English. She has traveled the world and enjoys local and international guests and friends, many of whom are artists.

Elsbeth Gugi restores Victorian and other houses, and designed and was the contractor for the Inn.She excels at garden design, particularly wildflower ones. Her love for the outdoors can take guests to secret hikes and snowshoeing.

She is a professionally educated singer. Her singing style varies from sultry torch songs to Broadway blues, and includes European cabaret and folksongs and for special occasions she even yodels and plays the accordion.
